The 65-hour GIVE65 Event begins at 7 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, July 9 and concludes at midnight on July 11. This event is an initiative of the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation of Canada and the first and only crowd-fundraising platform focused on helping charitable organizations across Canada raise funds for programs and services benefiting older adults. During the GIVE65 Event, A & O is also raising funds with the hopes of receiving up to $5,000 in matching funds from the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation of Canada. We are also competing for a $2,500 bonus grant. Donations of $10 or greater are accepted online at GIVE65.ca.
Please consider a gift in support of A & O’s Safe Suite program. This program provides temporary housing for men, women and couples, 55 years of age or older who are in need of a safe place to stay due to abuse or neglect and whose needs cannot be effectively met by existing abuse/crisis services. Abuse may be physical, emotional/ psychological, sexual, financial or neglect. The program was launched in October 2006.
